Barrel Stories: Beyond the Frame

In this talk, Lisa Harewood will discuss the evolution of Barrel Stories, her project about Caribbean parents and children separated because of economic migration. What started out as a short film on the subject has evolved into a multi-year project that is using storytelling across a number of different platforms (idoc, virtual reality and interactive installation), to help families and communities have important conversations about the benefits and fallout of children being left behind.
